Moove is a mobility fintech company on a mission to drive productivity and success for the world’s mobility entrepreneurs by democratising access to vehicle ownership for those with limited or no access to a vehicle or vehicle financing. We use our revenue-based financing model on a global scale to serve millions of entrepreneurs in the mobility industry.
Moove currently operates in cities across Africa, Europe and the Middle East including:

Drivers pay a fixed amount every week to Moove over a specified period. At the end of the fixed period, the ownership of the vehicle is transferred to the driver.

To be eligible for a Moove vehicle, you must:

  • Be at least 23 years old
  • Have between 200 – 1000 e-hailing trips experience with a 4.5 rating
  • Demonstrate previous earnings of R5000 or more per week.
  • Drivers licence that is 5 years old or older. (Code 8 & 10 only)
  • Valid Identification document or Passport.
  • Valid Uber Account 
  • Valid PDP
  • A deposit of at least R2500
Onboarding is the process of pairing or assigning a Driver with a vehicle, so that we know that Driver X owns Vehicle X on our systems.This process has to be complete before a driver can have access to a vehicle.

You will need to visit our office in Johannesburg and Cape town in order to be onboarded onto a vehicle. The onboarding process happens once you have met all of the requirements and paid your deposit. Here are the steps:

  • Step 1: Driver Document Verification, here we verify all your documents including past earrings and e-hailing experience.
  • Step 2: Driving Test, all drivers are required to undertake a mandatory driving test.
  • Step 3: Pay a deposit. A deposit is required in order to be given a vehicle.
  • Step 4: Driver training, you will be taken through an indepth driver training to ensure you understand how Moove works and all necessary information to ensure your well prepared for this new Journey and car ownership.
No, there’s no credit check required to be eligible for a Moove vehicle.

Johannesburg:
We ask drivers to pay a refundable deposit amount ranging from R2500 – R10,000 at the time of onboarding.

Cape Town:
We ask drivers to pay a refundable deposit amount of R7000 at the time of onboarding.

Yes, your Moove vehicle is paired onto the Uber platform. You will drive on Uber Go.

Yes, your vehicle will be fitted with a telematics device to support any insurance claims processes. This enables us to help you to keep your running costs down and retain the value in your vehicle.
Only when onboarding you will be required to pay R200 for a driving evaluation, this is conducted by a driving school.

Every month, you accumulate 1.16 days which adds up to 14 days per year. The days do not carry over. You will be billed as usual if you use the car during your leave days.

Yes you can return your vehicle, however you have to substantiate your reasons which should align to our  T&Cs.

Uber pays your Uber card earnings to Moove, and we will deduct vehicle installment and payout the difference to you.
Drivers are paid weekly on Wednesdays.
You will be contacted by the collection department to arrange payment.
Yes, all our vehicles are covered by a comprehensive insurance policy.
Your vehicle is only insured for travel within South Africa’s borders, and the driver must primarily drive within the country.
The excess is from R7500 depending on the circumstances of any incident and accumulates based on various factors.
The vehicle insurance covers the vehicle. However, there is a life insurance and medical insurance for you and your family.
Vehicle maintenance will be carried out by our approved suppliers.
Brake pads, tyres, globes, wipers, services, clutch and all wear & tear are covered under Moove’s all inclusive maintenance package.
Moove Vehicles are serviced by approved suppliers, we will notify you via email or sms when your vehicle is due for service and you can book a time and day when you are available.
Yes, all vehicles are covered by the manufacturer warranty. Coverage may vary depending on vehicle make & model.
